Your plan stays with you

Last updated 22 October 2026.

Forkcast is run by Jadthena Limited (company no. 16232930, registered office 62 Border Brook Lane, Worsley, Manchester, M28 1XJ), registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as ZC251636. We are the data controller for the little personal data Forkcast handles (your IP address in our server logs).

Your plan and list

The planner runs in your web browser. Your choices, your week of dinners and your ticked-off list are saved in your browser's local storage on this device, so they are still there next time. We don't receive them. Clear this site's data in your browser to remove them.

When you plan a week, your browser tells our server only that a plan was made, with the number of dinners and people, so we can count how much Forkcast is used. Nothing that identifies you is in that count.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server keeps a standard access log of each request: your IP address, the page address, the time and your browser type. We use it to keep the service secure and working, and it is deleted automatically within 15 days. The server is hosted by Hetzner Online in Germany (inside the EU, which the UK recognises as giving adequate data protection).

If you buy Forkcast Pro

Payments are taken by Stripe, which handles your card details; we never see them. Stripe tells us your email address, a customer reference and your subscription status, and we keep those with your Pro key so Pro works on your devices and you can manage or cancel your subscription. We keep them while your subscription is active and for 6 years after it ends, as UK tax law requires for payment records. Stripe's own privacy notice is at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

Analytics

We use our own copy of Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
